COVID-19

Over the past several weeks, we have been closely monitoring the COVID-19 virus situation, commonly known as “coronavirus.” Our hearts and thoughts go out to the people who have been affected by this unprecedented event, and we appreciate the healthcare workers, local communities, and governmental agencies who are on the front line working to contain this virus.

At this moment, we feel confident that we can continue to provide quality care to our patients in a safe and sanitized clinical environment. We have had no known encounters with the coronavirus at any of the two locations, with any of our patients or with any of our staff. Our offices remain open and fully operational, and we can see patients.

We have implemented additional sanitation protocols on top of our existing policies and procedures.

What we are doing

We understand the importance of a clean, disinfected, and safe medical facility. Each day we treat patients with complicated illnesses and health conditions, and it is our responsibility to provide a safe and sanitized facility for patient care. We have implemented additional, precautionary cleaning protocols for both locations, including the following:

  • Inquiring of all patients with scheduled visits and staff about any recent travel and any potential exposure to persons with actual or suspected flu-like symptoms.
  • Taking temperature when you walk in the door

  • Screening patients and employees and advising any who feel sick to remain at home or reschedule visits.
  • Only allowing the patient in the office at this time, unless necessary (so your ride will have to stay in the car)
  • Ensuring that patients who visit our facilities take additional sanitary actions, we have hand sanitizer available for patient use also.
  • Increased frequency in disinfecting all surfaces and floors in between patient encounters and waiting rooms.

What You Can Do

We encourage you to practice safety measures at home and when you are at the clinic. Elderly patients and patients with compromised immune systems are at high risk for complications and should use discretion in public places, and promptly seek treatment if symptoms develop. Wash your hands with soap and water frequently, cover your nose and mouth with a tissue or your elbow if you have to sneeze or cough and avoid touching your face. If you are experiencing symptoms of respiratory illness, fever, cough, shortness of breath or fatigue, please stay home. We will be happy to reschedule your appointment for a later date.

Starting March 25, 2020

We will be only open at one location at a time, this will help with staffing and to avoid any patients in the waiting room. So both Dr. Meyer and Dr. Hilton will be working in the same office together.

To avoid confusion and miss information please refer to the CDC (https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov).

Thank you for allowing us to be apart of your health!
